Federal District Court Decision

Attorney Sam Hall recently received a favorable federal district court decision on behalf of a Chicago charter school. The plaintiff generally claimed that the student was not provided with a free appropriate public education due to alleged lack of accommodations to account for the student’s learning disabilities. The plaintiff brought a federal lawsuit against the charter school and asserted a federal civil rights claim and claims for alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). After briefing on the issues, the federal district court dismissed the plaintiff’s claims in their entirety.
