Jeff and Sara’s retailer store client was sued in Brown County after plaintiff claims she developed complex regional pain syndrome following a box falling on the back of her ankle while shopping at the store. After three days of testimony involving biomechanical and mechanical engineers and experts on complex regional pain syndrome, the jury returned a defense verdict in 15 minutes, finding that not only did the plaintiff not sustain any injuries, but the box at issue did not fall on the back of plaintiff’s ankle. Thus, plaintiff’s asking the jury for $900,000 was rejected wholeheartedly by the Brown County jury in 15 minutes.
